Our mission at Arts Commons is to bring the arts...to life. And we have done that as safely as possible for as long as possible. But our commitment is to the health and wellbeing of our community. On March 13, we made the decision to suspend all performances until further notice. Ticket refunds is one of three options available to ticket holders of cancelled Arts Commons Presents concerts/presentations. If you were looking forward to a performance or an exhibit, a speaker or an immersion that has now been cancelled due to COVID-19, please consider donating your ticket or supporting your favourite arts organization in some other way. The arts are not for profit, and without the generosity of our community, we would not be able to fulfill our mission and bring the transformative nature of the arts to all of you.
Our vision is greater than ourselves however. Our vision is a creative and compassionate society inspired through the arts. We therefore ask you to reflect on the performance art, visual art, sound art, written art, and all the creativity that has enriched your life and to let that be the inspiration for how you move through the time ahead. Be kind to each other, think about and take appropriate action to care for those who are the most vulnerable, and practice love and generosity. Exercise physical distancing but commit to social solidarity. We are in this together.
